Kids Prayer for July 30th

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Peter let Jesus down, and later he cried about it. Sometimes that happens to me, too. I think about something I did wrong, and my eyes get hot. You do not laugh at that. You catch the tears. You forgave Peter and let him serve You again. Do the same with me. Pick me up. Crying about a mess-up is not the same as staying stuck in it. You forgive me and help me keep going. Amen.

How to pray it

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
