Kids Prayer for July 18th

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Lord, in Numbers 2, there was a group that marched at the back of the line. They still got to carry a flag. Sometimes I am in the back, too. Picked last. Quiet. Not the loudest kid. But that does not mean I do not belong. You see who is at the back. Let me be okay back here today, holding my own flag for You. Being in the back of the line is still being in the line. I am still Yours. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray
