Kids Prayer for June 8th

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Lord, Your people won their war because You were the one fighting for them. You are still the one who fights. I have battles too. Small ones, like getting up when I want to stay in my warm bed. Big ones, like holding on to faith when somebody I love is really sick. Help me remember the battle is Yours. I am just standing where You tell me to stand. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
