Kids Prayer for May 29th

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Lord, Your Word says You hate what is wicked. Wickedness is the mean stuff that hurts people and breaks Your world. I am glad You hate it. I want to hate what You hate too. The bullying at school. The selfishness in my own heart. Even the small, quiet kinds of mean. Help me not to go along with wrong just because everyone else does. You love people, even when You hate the sin. Help me care about what You care about. Help me be brave enough to stand up for what is right. Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
