Kids Prayer for May 8th
A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord, You do good things for me, and sometimes I do not even know it was You. Like when Jesus healed someone, and she did not even know who He was. Give me eyes to see Your work. Even the quiet stuff that does not feel like a miracle. Even the things I might call lucky, like a good day or a kind word. None of it is luck. It is all You. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
