Kids Prayer for March 31st

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Dear God, Isaiah 53:5 says that by Jesus's wounds we are healed. Jesus was hurt so that I could be made whole forever. When I get hurt, it does not always make me better. But what Jesus did on the cross healed me for good. Thank You that His pain was not wasted. And mine does not have to be wasted either. You can use even my smallest aches. Even my scrapes and bruises. You can make something good come from them. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
