Kids Prayer for March 17th

A short, Scripture-shaped kids prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Heavenly Father, You told us to remember the poor. I do remember sometimes. The man on the corner with the cardboard sign. The kid at school whose backpack is broken and held together with tape. But remembering is not enough. Help me actually do something. Give a granola bar from my lunchbox. Sit next to someone alone in the cafeteria. Help me be quiet, kind, and ready to help today. You see what I cannot see. Show me where to start. Even one small thing. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray
