Grandmother’s Prayer for December 14th

A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that Your people go from strength to strength. That promise is for me today.

My body is slowing down. My feet are not as quick as they once were. But this strength does not come from my legs. It comes from You. It comes from knowing what city is ahead.

The closer I get to You, the stronger I become in the way that really counts. The road has not worn me out. It has built me up inside.

Walk me through this Saturday from strength to strength. When my body feels weak, remind me that You are at the end of the road. You supply what the journey takes. Your promise is reliable.

Amen.
