Grandmother’s Prayer for November 10th
A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says the eternal God is my refuge. That means You are not just a refuge during the crisis. You are the refuge for the slow days, the long mornings, the quiet, low afternoons. I try to handle the ordinary hours on my own and only run to You when things fall apart. But You are the refuge for all of it. Always. Today, even though there is no crisis, I take refuge in You. I sit inside the safety You have always offered. I pray inside Your protection. I read inside Your presence. I eat inside Your provision. The eternal God means the refuge is not going to run out. It has held Your people for a thousand years. It will hold me today. I receive the blessing of this old, true word. I take refuge in You. I walk into this day from inside the safe place. Amen.
