Grandmother’s Prayer for June 25th

A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says my inheritance in heaven does not rot, does not spoil, and does not lose value. It is kept safe for me. 1 Peter 1:4.

I have lived through times when the market fell. I have known friends who lost what they had saved. Earthly money goes up and down. But the inheritance You have for me cannot rise and fall. It is held in Your safekeeping.

You are the one who holds the universe together. The same hands that hold all things hold my future. That promise is personal. It is for me and for all who belong to You.

Let me live today as someone who knows where her real treasure is kept. The peace that comes from knowing that is one of the gifts of walking with You for many years. Let me enjoy that peace openly this morning.

Amen.
