Grandmother’s Prayer for June 20th

A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You are the Judge, and You have already said I am not guilty. Romans 8:33 says that no one can bring a charge that You have not already answered. The accuser still whispers on quiet mornings. It says my prayers are wasted. It brings up old failures. It asks if I really belong to You. But those charges have no power. You are the One who justifies me. You do not change Your mind. Let me walk through this day with quiet trust. Let the people I love see what it looks like to rest in Your verdict. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray
