Grandmothers
Grandmother’s Prayer for June 19th
A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You said You would blot out my sins for Your own sake. You said You would not remember them. Isaiah 43:25. That is one of the most generous things You ever said. You do this, Lord. No one else can. You do not wait until I am sorry enough. You do it because of who You are. You do it because Your Son made it right for You to do it. I have known this verse for years. It still takes my breath away. My sins are blotted out. They are not remembered. The one who accuses me has nothing to bring before the Judge. Because the Judge Himself destroyed the file, let me live today like someone whose record has been cleared. Let me not spend the day dwelling on past failures. Let me walk in the freedom of a woman who knows this verse is true. Amen.
