Grandmother’s Prayer for June 6th
A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You have been so good to me. There have been seasons when I could feel You close, and my life felt strong like a mountain. And there have been seasons when Your face felt hidden, and I was troubled. I have lived through both. I will not pretend the hard times did not hurt. I will not pretend I always understood why You felt far away. But You did not change. Your love did not go away. The hiding was for a season. Your favor came back. Help me not to panic when the road gets dark. Help me not to brag when the sun is bright. Your favor is the constant thing. You are the constant thing. I am living through the same cycle Your servant wrote about long ago. Let me trust You in every part of it. Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
