Grandmothers
Grandmother’s Prayer for May 21st
A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.' John 14:6.
Father, that verse is Yours. It has held Your church together when everything else was shifting. He is the way. He is the truth. He is the life.
I have lived inside that verse for so long that I forget how strong those three claims really are. Let me sit in them again this morning. The way I am walking is Him. The truth I am trusting is Him. The life I am inheriting is Him.
He is the only way to You. Those are His own words, and I will not look away from them. The door through Him is open today and every day. It is not narrow because it keeps anyone out who wants in. It is narrow because it is a Person, and there is only one of Him.
He is enough.
Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
