Grandmother’s Prayer for March 25th

A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that You send Your angels to serve those who will receive Your salvation. Hebrews 1:14. I am one of those people. I know Your help has come in ways I did not see at the time. In the timing of cars on the highway. In words that found me at the right hour. In small turns that kept me from going the wrong way. I will not try to explain it all. I will just thank You for the quiet work You have done around me, through Your servants, for someone who was often busy with her own plans. Keep that work going for the people I love who are still being saved. For those in my family. For those in the church. For those I do not yet know, who are being helped in ways they will not understand until later. The unseen world is real. Your salvation is sure. Your work is faithful. I rest in it without trying to run it. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
