Grandmother’s Prayer for March 19th

A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says that Christ Jesus has been made to us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. That one verse holds four gifts, and they all come as one Person. He is each of them for me.

He is the wisdom I have needed at every age. He is the righteousness I could never earn on my own. He is the making-new that You are still doing in me, even now. He is the redemption that is secure in His blood.

I do not have to chase after these gifts one by one. They come with Him. He is them.

Let me receive Him again this morning. He is the wisdom for today's choices. He is the right standing I need before You. He is the gentle work You are doing on the rough places in me. He is the redemption that does not depend on how well I have done lately.

Christ is all, and He is in all. So He is here this morning, sitting at the kitchen table with me, the way He has been for longer than I can count.

Amen.
