Grandmothers
Grandmother’s Prayer for February 5th
A short, Scripture-shaped grandmothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says You sent Jesus to save the world. John saw that with his own eyes and told others with his own voice. I did not see Him the way John did. But I have heard the story, and read it, and lived with it for many years. I have watched what His love does in a quiet life, in ordinary mornings, in the way He stays when everything else changes. That is my testimony. I do not need to argue. I do not need fancy words. I just want to tell what He has been like for one ordinary woman over a long stretch of years. Give me the chance to share that today. I am not too tired to speak when the moment comes. You sent Jesus. He is enough. And those of us who have watched Him work over time can say, He is real. He is good. He has been faithful to me. Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
