Dads
Dads Prayer for December 3rd
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your word says I am clean. No spot in me. Not because I earned it. Not because I am good enough on my own. But because of Jesus. Because of what His blood did for me.
I do not always believe that. The first time I hear it, I push it away. Maybe the second time it starts to sink in a little. Let it sink in today.
There is a voice in my head that says I failed. That says I am not enough. That says I do not measure up. It is loud. It is always talking.
But You say I am Yours. You say I am clean. You say I am received. That voice is quieter, but it is true. It is Your voice.
Help me believe what You say more than what the critical voice says. Let Your words be louder in my head today than all the ways I put myself down.
Lord Jesus, You call me Yours. Walk me through this day as a man You have made clean.
Amen.
