Dads
Dad’s Prayer for December 2nd
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that Christ sees His people as beautiful, with no flaw at all. When I read that, I want to argue. I can see my own flaws. They are real. Some of them showed up just this week.
But that verse is how You see me from the cross. You see who I will become, not just who I am today. The flaws are real, and You are working on them. They are not the final story.
Help me see myself the way You see me. Not pretending the flaws are not there, but not letting them define me either. I am being made beautiful by a beauty I could not make on my own.
Lord Jesus, You see the person You are finishing in me. Help me walk a little lighter today. The flaws are not the headline. Your grace is.
Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
