Dads
Dad’s Prayer for November 9th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You told me in Colossians 2:6 to walk in Christ the same way I received Him. I received Him by grace, through faith, with nothing to offer. But I have added habits that do not match that gift.
I compare myself to other men at church to see where I rank. I use what I know about You to win arguments instead of to grow. I measure my faith by how clean my reputation looks. None of those lines up with the way I first came to You.
Strip those things back, Lord. Let my walking match my receiving. Christ alone. Grace alone. By faith. For Your glory. If anything has to fall away, let it fall.
Lord Jesus, You gave Yourself for me. Help me walk in You all day, not in the careful image I try to keep up.
Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
