Dads
Dad’s Prayer for October 29th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I forget who I am when I pray. I talk to You like You are a boss and I am just trying to make my case. But that is not what You set up. You called me Your son. I am not alone in this. Brothers and sisters around the world are talking to You right now, and You hear all of it. I come to You as a son, not as someone begging a stranger. Reset my heart this morning. I am in a family. I am Your son. Help me live like that today. Amen.

- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
