Dads
Dad’s Prayer for October 25th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your truth lives in me. Not just words I read, but something lodged deep inside, a guest who stays.
I have hosted other guests. Cynicism moved in for a long time. Self-pity, sometimes. A quiet resentment. They were smaller than truth, but they shaped my mood and my home.
Let Your truth settle deeper. Truth about who You are. Truth about who I am — loved, but not great. Truth about what matters and what does not. Truth I can speak without flinching because it has lived in me long enough to feel like my own voice.
Lord Jesus, You are the truth. Make Yourself at home in me. Push out the other guests as You take more room.
Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
