Dads
Dads Prayer for September 26th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You are working even when I cannot see it. You have watchers and riders patrolling the earth on Your behalf. The night is not empty.
My nights are not empty either. When I am tossing and turning over the kid, or the job, or the relationship, I cannot fix — You are not absent. The watchers ride. Whatever I cannot see is not nothing.
Help me sleep better with that knowledge. The work You do at night while I am off duty is real. The conversations I am dreading at sunrise have not surprised You. You have already begun providing for them in ways I will only see later.
Lord Jesus, You stay awake on my behalf. Let me lay it down tonight in trust, knowing the patrols are working while I rest.
Amen.
