Dad's Prayer for September 25th

When you need to find strength for righteousness, even if you're not sure you have it in you today.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father,

Romans 3:26 says You are just and You make right everyone who trusts in Jesus. The two go together. You did not ignore Your justice to forgive me; You satisfied it through Christ. The cross was not a soft place of comfort for You. For me, it was the place where holiness and mercy joined together without compromise.

May that comfort me. A God who overlooks my sin entirely is not who You are. A God who demands what is right and then provides it Himself — that is the God I will rest in. You have forgiven everything and overlooked nothing.

Let that truth steady me when I confess my failures today. I am not asking You to pretend they did not happen. I am asking You to redeem what Jesus already paid for. Jesus uttered It is finished so that I may move forward forgiven.

Lord Jesus, You are at my right standing with God. Walk with me into the day with the courage to know I am forgiven, and guide me to be just and righteous.

Amen.
