Dads
Dad’s Prayer for September 13th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Psalm 84 says that when Your people walk through a dry valley, You turn it into a place with water. I have seen that in the men around me. Some have lost things they loved. Some have rebuilt marriages. Some have grieved over their kids. And when my own road gets hard, their stories are like wells I drink from.
God, do that with my hard times, too. What I go through is not just for me. Someone behind me will walk this same ground. Let what I learn here be water for them.
Lord Jesus, You walked through the hardest valley there was. Your suffering became life for all of us. Let my smaller valleys be used the same way. Help me share what I learn instead of hiding it.
Amen.
