A prayer to pray now
Father, You sent the breaker ahead. Jesus, You already went before me. Even when the road looks blocked, You have already been there.
This week, I have acted like I am the first person to face hard things. The tough talk at work. The doctor visit for someone I love. The friend whose drinking is getting worse. But none of this is new to You. Nothing about my week surprised You.
Help me follow instead of trying to figure it all out on my own. I will not pretend I know what to do. I will move when You move. I will stop when You stop. I do not have to break through the wall by myself.
Lord Jesus, You went through death itself. The hard things in front of me this week are small compared to what You already broke through. Help me walk the road You already walked.
Amen.
