Dads
Dad's Prayer for July 30th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Peter wept bitterly in Mark 14:72 after he denied You. That was the right reaction. He did not laugh it off. He did not blame someone else. He did not make it small. He just wept.
But the gospel does not end with his tears. You brought him back by the lake. Three times You asked him, gently. He went on to feed Your sheep. The man who denied You became the man who served Your church.
I have small denials in my week too. A talk where I did not say I follow You when I could have. A quiet choice to keep my faith out of a moment at work. A time with my kids where I taught them something other than what I say I believe. Do not let me brush those moments off. Bring me to them honestly.
Lord Jesus, You restored Peter. Restore me the same way. Your patience. My honesty. That same quiet question: do You love Me? Yes. Help me feed Your sheep.
Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
