Dads
Dad’s Prayer for June 28th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, my eyes drift. To the phone. To the colleague. To the fears I rehearse. Hebrews 12:2 says to look at Jesus, the One who started my faith and will finish it. Today, when my eyes drift, turn me back to Him. Not to my own thoughts. To the real Jesus, who holds my life. Look at His patience. Look at His honesty. Look at the way He treated the people I do not want to deal with. Then help me act like a man who has been looking at You. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
