Dads
Dad’s Prayer for June 25th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You told Your messenger to climb higher so the good news could be heard farther. I have been staying in the lowlands — quiet, careful, holding back. With the coworker who asked me an honest question last week, I dodged it. With my friend who is going through a hard time, I gave him weak comfort instead of real hope. I don't want to perform. I just want to stop being ashamed of what I actually believe. Take me to higher ground today. Help me say what I know is true with the calm of a man who has been there.
Amen.

- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
