Dads
Dad’s Prayer for June 18th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord, You are the Redeemer. You buy back what was lost. I have lost some things in this stretch. A friendship that does not look like it will recover. A version of my health I will not get back. A relationship with one of my parents that has more distance than it used to. You do not always fix things the way I want or when I want. But You are faithful. You are at work. Help me look for what You are doing, not just what I have lost. What You bring may not look like the past put back together. It may be something new. I trust that it will be good. Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
