A prayer to pray now
Lord, You made Sarah laugh when Isaac was born. She said everyone who heard would laugh with me. That is the deep kind of laughter. The kind that comes when something impossible turns out to be possible.
I want that kind of laughter in my house. Not nervous laughter. The astonished kind. The kind that says, I cannot believe You did that.
Surprise me this season. Not for fun. Because the surprises remind me You are not a vending machine. You are a Father who does things I do not see coming.
Let me notice the next surprise and laugh out loud instead of calling it a coincidence.
Amen.
