Dads
Dad’s Prayer for May 23rd
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You promised in Psalm 138:8 that You will bring Your work in me to fullness. You will. Not might. Will. The things that keep me up at night are mostly things I cannot finish. My kids will not be grown before I am done. The work I do will go on without me. My marriage will take decades I cannot see yet. I will not finish any of these things. You will. Let me do my part today and trust You with the rest. I cannot carry the ending. You can. I bring these unfinished things to a faithful God, and I do not need to control how they turn out. Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
