Dads
Dad’s Prayer for May 22nd
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord, You led Your people by the right way, not the fastest way, not the easiest way — the right way for who You were making them. The path my life has taken has not always made sense to me. The job change I did not plan. The moves. The long stretches in places I never thought I would live. It did not make sense in the planning, but it made sense in the leading. So let me trust Your leading now, even when I cannot see the next step. This road I am on is not random. It is not built for my comfort. It is the right way for the man You are forming. Help me walk it without fighting the path I would have picked instead. Amen.
