Dads
Dad’s Prayer for May 18th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that in Jesus, all of who You are lives in a body, and that I am complete in Him. Not partly. Fully complete.
Lately, my mind keeps score. Not enough money. Not enough time. Not enough patience. Not enough at work. That voice is loud.
But You say I am complete in You. I lack nothing I truly need. I may be short on extras, but I am not short on what matters most.
So today, help me live from that truth. When I feel short on time, remind me You have me. When I feel short on patience, fill me up. When I want to hold back, help me give instead.
Change what I stand on today. Not fear. Not lack. Your fullness in me.
Amen.
