Dads
Dad’s Prayer for May 10th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says, "Now is Christ risen from the dead." Not past tense. Now. He is alive today. He is not just a story from long ago. He is the risen Christ, and He is at Your right hand right now, praying for me. I do not have to make that up. It is already true. His work in me does not depend on my mood or my day. Let that truth feel solid under my feet this morning. Not just for Easter. For this ordinary Wednesday. Help me walk in step with what He is already doing. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
