Dads
Dad’s Prayer for April 13th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord Jesus, You are the One who was willing to die. The Bible says You carry the scent of that death, like myrrh at a burial. That is how I know You. Not just by Your power. Not just by Your teaching. But by Your willingness to go to the cross. That mark is on You forever, and I treasure it. I am not saying suffering is good. I am saying the cross shows me who You are. So let me carry a smaller version of that mark today. Give me the willingness to die to small comforts, to small reputations, to small wants. You already paid the larger price. Help me follow You in the small ones. Amen.
