Dads
Dad’s Prayer for March 27th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says all the disciples forsook You and fled. The men closest to Jesus were the first ones gone. I want to be honest about my own running. I have turned from You in small ways many times this year. The morning I skipped prayer because I was too busy. The conversation where I did not speak of You when I should have. The moment of fear when I trusted my bank account more than I trusted You. None of those put me outside Your grace. But they are mine to own. I do, today. And I come back. Not with promises that next time will be different. With the simple gratitude that there is a place to come back to. Amen.

- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
