Dads
Dad’s Prayer for February 27th
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that when I make You my home, I am safe. I believe that. But I have been living in other places lately. Work, sometimes. The wish for more money, sometimes. The glow of a screen at the end of a long day, sometimes. None of those places can really hold me. They are motels at best. You are my real home. Move me back there today. When I am restless, do not let me check into the motels. Lead me home. The door is open. The lights are on. I want to stay.
Amen.
