Dads
Dad’s Prayer for January 21st
A short, Scripture-shaped dads prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that all Israel shall be saved, and that pulls me out of my small world. There is a story bigger than my job. There is a rescue wider than my house. Broaden my prayer life this week. I tend to pray for my own people and stop. Today, let me hold the broken world for a minute. The neighbor who lost his job. The country I keep arguing about at the dinner table. The church that is limping. You are saving a whole people, not just fixing a few of us. Plant me in that long story. Let me do my small part with patience, not wishing I were the center of it all.
Amen.
