Prayer for young adults
Anchors: Hebrews 12:24, Colossians 1:20
Father,
Abel's blood cried out for justice. Jesus' blood speaks mercy. The second voice is louder. Help me hear it today.
My conscience is good at replaying old sin. The thing I did and turned from keeps showing up. The pattern I broke years ago keeps trying to tell me who I really am. The voice inside me that accuses knows my past well and won't let me forget.
But Your blood speaks too. It says something my guilt cannot drown out. Mercy. Forgiveness. The case against me has been settled. The accusation is real. The verdict is real too. And the verdict wins, because Jesus paid for it.
So when the old voice comes up today — when a memory of failure arrives and tries to argue with where I stand right now — let the better voice be louder. Your blood is speaking mercy that I am inside of. Quiet the accuser in me by choosing to trust Your voice over it. Not by pretending the past didn't happen. By trusting that Someone has answered for it, and His answer is the final one.
Amen.
