Prayer for young adults
Anchors: Matthew 26:56, John 16:32
Lord Jesus,
Your disciples ran when things got hard. Matthew says they all left You in the garden. They walked with You for three years, and then they fled.
I read that story and think I would not have run. But I know the smaller ways I do. I go silent when speaking up would cost me. I let a friend drift because it takes work I do not want to give. I hide what I believe when the room is not kind. Small flights. Same shape.
But You did not give up on the men who ran. Peter said he did not know You, three times. Still, You met him later by the fire on the beach. You did not ignore what he did. You called him back. You gave him a new start.
So today, meet me in the places I have drifted. The talks I walked away from. The courage I did not use. The good habits I let slip. Bring me back with the same kindness You showed Peter. Not by pretending I did not drift, but by calling me forward again.
I want to be someone You keep restoring. I know I will need it more than once.
Amen.
